The Laptop Speaks

Good morning, dear user,

I don’t mean to agitate.

This is your personal laptop,

And I had some things to say,

These past two years of online school,

have truly been a blast

It also made me perceive things,

that I’ve never felt in the past

I remember the exhilaration,

when you joined your first zoom class,

and you finally saw your bosom buddies,

all together on a sheet of glass.

I’ve seen the frustration,

that scars your countenance,

whenever the wifi disconnects, 

before you finish your sentence.

I’ve seen determination,

writ across your teacher’s face,

who makes zoom meetings bearable,

and handles online school with grace.

And most importantly I've seen you grow,

from a sapling to a tree.

The lockdown was an intolerable time,

but you made it look easy!

You humans have many flaws,

but have a willpower stronger than gneiss.

It’s an honor to serve you as your laptop,

and I'd surely do it twice!
